防止盗窃

盗窃通常是一种机会犯罪，是大学校园里最常见的犯罪. 最好的预防方法是减少或消除机会:

• Whenever you leave your office, laboratory or residence hall room lock the door and all windows

个人安全

的 public should be aware of job-search scams in which people who respond to ads or online job postings receive checks that 应用程序ear to be from legitimate companies. 工作的类型可以随模型而变化, 神秘顾客, 数据录入人员或其他类型的独立工作者. But one element is always the same: In each of these scams, you are sent an authentic-looking check.

You've been scammed—and there is usually no way to recover the money you sent to a third party.

You can also stop by the Hudson Security Office located in Hudson Hall to drop off the lost item. 的 officer will prepare an incident report and ensure the property is returned to its rightful owner.
